Rules for Advertising on StartupJobs

  1. Communication

    All communication from StartupJobs to startups is sent to the contact email you provided in your profile. Please ensure this address is kept current.

    Candidate applications on StartupJobs must be made through the application form. It is not allowed to include external links to a company's career pages or its contact details in the job listing. If a customer wishes to set up forwarding of candidates to their company's internal system, they can set up a webhook for each position, or link the system via API. More information about both methods can be found on this page.
  2. Offer

    All submitted offers are subject to approval by StartupJobs, which reserves the right to edit them, especially to delete links and contact details in the offers and to modify categories and types of contracts so that the chosen categories and contracts correspond as closely as possible to the job being offered.

    Job offers are typically approved by the second working day.

    After approval, the offer is published:

    • For Free offers, only on the company's profile.
    • For paid packages, the offer is published in relevant categories and shared on social networks.
    The validity of the offer is 30 days and its price is determined by the current price list.

    The following rules apply to offers:

    1. The use of capital letters in the title is prohibited (e.g. PHP DEVELOPER).
    2. The title and text should be gender-neutral, racially neutral, etc., to comply with anti-discrimination laws.
    3. Modifications to the source code are prohibited - all changes to the layout and appearance of the ad must be approved and performed by StartupJobs.
    4. Inserting external links and contact details into offers is not permitted.
    5. During the validity of the offer, its wording can be edited, but the field of the ad (e.g., from "PHP programmer" to "HR manager") cannot be changed.
    6. Only one job offer is allowed per ad.
    7. Offers can be set for automatic renewal, which occurs after the offer's validity expires. Notification of automatic renewal of the offer is sent to the contact email address provided.

    After automatic renewal of the offer, a standard invoice with a 14-day payment term is issued. The price for automatic renewal is the same as for standard renewal of the offer.

    Automatic renewal of offers can be changed back to manual renewal at any time.

    All paid offers come with a satisfaction guarantee. If fewer than 3 candidates apply for the offer during its entire validity (i.e., from the date of insertion) and the customer complies with the advertising rules (i.e., the offer is non-discriminatory, the title is not in capitals, and contains no external links or contact details) and the offer is displayed for at least 30 days, credits worth the Basic offer will be returned to the customer's profile (applicable for all paid packages). This compensation must be requested within 10 days of the offer's expiration and is discretionary. The guarantee can only be claimed for offers that comply with the cashback program rules.
    So-called Free offers can only be used by companies that use our career page solution. If a customer wants to start using our career page solution, they should contact our support at support@startupjobs.com, and the insertion of free offers will be allowed.
  3. Copywriting

    Copywriting can be ordered; the following prerequisites must be met - filling out a questionnaire with supplementary questions and sending the original text of the offer (or a job description).

    The new text is written in Czech unless otherwise agreed and is sent to the customer within three business days after the questionnaire is completed.

  4. HotJobs

    During HotJob campaign the offer is listed on the top of relevant job offer categories and highlighted with HOT label and is sent in a personalised newsletter. For HOT Offers are also created online campaigns.

    In case the offer expires earlier than the HotJob promotion, it is necessary to renew your offer for another month; otherwise, HotJobs for the offer is terminated without compensation. It is not possible to transfer HotJobs from one offer to another.

    You can also set automatic renewal for your HotJobs - your HotJob will automatically be renewed after expiration. The notice about automatic renewal is sent to your contact email address. After automatic renewal we will send you an invoice with 14 days due dates. The price for automatic renewal of HotJob is the same as for opening/renewing other HotJob. You can change automatic renewal back to manual renewal anytime you want to. Please note, that automatical renewal of offer is not the same as an automatical renewal of HotJob and it is necessary to switch it on (or off) separately. In case the automatically renewed HotJob expires later then offer on its own, the automatical renewal of HotJob is cancelled.

  5. One-time job offer promotion

    The condition for the One-time job offer promotion (the offer reappears at the beginning of the list of offers in the relevant categories) is active HotJobs. Offers with Extra and Plus packages are automatically "topped" halfway through their validity. Offers with the Ultimate package are automatically "topped" every week.

  6. PPC for your offers

    You can set up the budget for your PPC campaigns (5000 CZK as a minimum). The budget is divided into Google Ads and Meta campaigns unless otherwise agreed. In case the customer wants to use only one of these channels, please let us know before the campaigns are started.

    If the customers want to use their visuals for the campaign, send them in the required size (1080x1080 px) to our support address - support@startupjobs.com

    The results of the campaigns are sent after the end of the campaign based on the customer's request.

  7. Get more visits

    As with the PPC campaign, you can set up the budget for your campaign. For the campaign, we primarily use Facebook to target relevant candidates according to the focus of the job offer. The difference from standard PPC campaigns is that with this type of promotion, we guarantee a set number of relevant views.

  8. TOP 3 offers for the week

    By ordering this promotion, the customer orders the pinning of the offer to the first three places in the list of offers in the selected categories. The offer is then highlighted for a week in the selected category on each page with the "TOP" label. If offers in the selected category are listed on multiple pages, the offer will be in the first three positions on all pages.

  9. Payment

    All orders and invoices can be cancelled within 24 hours at the latest.

    The standard invoice due date (proforma, classic) is 14 days.

    Orders can be paid by card or by invoice. Invoices can be paid by card or by bank transfer.

    After the automatical renewal we will send you a proforma invoice to be paid in 14 days, and as soon as we receive your payment, we will create a classic invoice.

    If we have a positive experience with your company, we approve offers immediately after opening your offers (we don’t wait for the payment). In case we register invoices more than 20 days overdue, we take the following measures:

    • If you want to open/reopen your offer immediately, it is necessary to pay it by card. In case the payment by invoice is chosen, we will send you a proforma invoice, and we will open/renew your offer as soon as the payment is received. Then we will send you a classic invoice.
    • The automatic renewal is immediately suspended. In case you want to use automatical renewal, please buy a credit package, from which your advertisements will be paid.

  10. Companies

    The company’s profile is published at the moment of opening their first offer.

    All company profiles are approved by StartupJobs. StartupJobs reserves the right to allow the use of services even to companies which do not fulfill StartupJobs’s definition of startup and also not allow the use of services to companies, which can harm the StartupJobs brand.

    Personnel agencies, headhunters, etc. are not allowed to use StartupJobs' services - companies can only search for candidates for their own company, which fulfills the above definiton of a startup.

    It is not allowed for companies to respond to offers from other companies. If this rule is violated, the profile of the company is blocked and deactivated.

    Companies can only approach talent with a job offer for which a talent profile has been made available. It is prohibited to contact talent with commercial messages and other offers unrelated to the position advertised on StartupJobs.
