Python Backend Developer - EAG Group

CarsData consists of several teams including a dedicated Data Engineering Team, Python Backend Team, and an AI Team working in close collaboration. ## The Role 
We are looking for a talented **Backend Developer** with a strong foundation in **Python** to join our team. You will work on building and maintaining scalable backend services using **FastAPI** and **Flask**, with opportunities to dive into data manipulation using **Pandas**. As one of the top AWS customers in the Czech Republic processing over 5M daily classifieds, managing 50TB+ of text data, 400TB+ of photos, running 130,000+ lines of SQL code, and maintaining dozens of internal and external APIs, we offer real-world experience with large-scale systems. We are at the forefront of AI adoption, having already implemented advanced agentic systems that are transforming how we process and analyze automotive data. 

## Key Responsibilities 
* Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using **FastAPI** and **Flask** 
* Work with data pipelines and manipulate data using **Pandas** 
* Containerize applications using **Docker** for scalable deployments 
* Use **Git** for version control and collaborate effectively with the team 
* Ensure code quality and performance optimization * Troubleshoot and debug applications as needed 
* Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers on integrating models into production systems 
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation 
* Support continuous improvement of our backend architecture and practices 

## Tech Stack 
* **Languages:** Python, SQL 
* **Frameworks:** FastAPI, Flask

## Nice-to-Have 
* Experience with **Elasticsearch** or **OpenSearch** 
* Knowledge of **SQL** databases (Postgres/Snowflake) 
* Familiarity with **GitLab** for CI/CD 
* Experience with **asynchronous programming** in Python 
* Knowledge of **Poetry and UV** for package and dependency management 
* Experience with **linters** (e.g., **Flake8, pylint**) for code quality 
* Knowledge of **Ruff** as a fast Python linter 

## Requirements 
* **1-3 years** of professional experience in backend development using **Python** 
* Hands-on experience with **FastAPI** or **Flask** 
* Familiarity with **Pandas** for data manipulation 
* Proficiency in **Docker** and **Git** 
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities 
* Good communication skills in both Czech and English 
* Full-time availability (40 hours per week) 
* Ability to work on-site in Praha Holešovice
